TAST 2012 Week 2 Buttonhole Stitch

Buttonhole stitch is fun. There are many different images you can make with this stitch.  Here are the patterns I decided to share on my sampler today.

I am toying with the idea of adding embellishments to my stitches instead of only sewing the stitches because I do enjoy Crazy Quilting and think embellished stitched would be perfect in my sampler.

  1. Hello! Thanks for visiting my blog.
You ask about creativity – your stitching is creative!
I have stitched for many years and enjoy following patterns – especially cross stitch, but most of all I enjoy gathering up fabric and a variety of threads and following my instincts – I rarely have an idea when I start as to what the outcome will be – sometimes it’s OK, sometimes not. I have always spent hours browsing stitching magazines, have many books and in recent years I’m hooked on Internet browsing – there’s no limit to seeing fab textile and needlework artists via google!
Relax and go for it – if you feel like sewing beads on to something, or any other embellishment, do so – it’s for your pleasure!
    Happy stitching, Connie, UK

  2. I love the fans and the seashells! 🙂 The eye is very imaginative…(and maybe a bit creepy on its own!)

I think adding the embellishments would be wonderful for your sampler… especially if you love crazy quilting!

Thank you for your lovely comment on my post! 🙂
